Katherine Parker was a 2016 graduate of Rockford High School who attended Western Michigan University’s School of Music for two years. Later she determined that changing lives through social work was her calling so she began studies at Grand Valley State University, worked as an ABA specialist who helped children with autism, and sang with the choirs at GVSU. Her unexpected death, at age 22, left many people grief stricken but thinking of a way to honor her. The Katherine Parker Memorial Scholarship is a $1000 scholarship awarded to a member of the RHS Choirs who has shown dedication, leadership, and through their actions, a consistent desire to help others no matter the personal struggle.
If you would like to donate to this scholarship, follow the instructions in the image below to send a check or Venmo a donation to the Rockford Choirs. Thank you for helping to honor the memory of Katherine!
